26th Sunday of Ordinary Time - Year C

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

This week’s readings are very similar in theme to last week’s. Therefore, the liturgy suggestions are also very similar. Teach Me Humility (CCLI # 4957326) and Our Offering (CCLI # 4957182) would work for the Preparation of Gifts. Also, For the Body (CCLI # 4956860) would be a great communion song.

This Sunday there is an theme of justice and stewardship. “our offering” (CCLI #4957182) works well for the preparation of gifts and “for the body” (CCLI # 4956860) is a great Communion Song.

24th Sunday of Ordinary Time - Year C

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

This Sunday has one of the most well-loved parables in the Gospel readings. The story of the prodigal son rings true to all Christians. All have fallen short of the glory of God. For the opening song, “send Your grace” (CCLI # 4957278) is a good gathering song. “the Lord is my shepherd” (CCLI # 4957333) in conjunction with “show me the way” (CCLI # 4957292) could make a powerful medley at Communion. Another communion suggestion would be “Your love” (CCLI # 4957388) which speaks of God’s steadfast love. Lastly, “everyday” (CCLI # 4956846) would be a great recessional.
